The Art of Knots: Symbolism and Craftsmanship
For millennia, knots have played a vital role in cultural history, serving both practical and decorative purposes—from calculating and communicating to crafting beauty.
In this 4-hour workshop, we’ll delve into the history, origins, and symbolism of selected knots, exploring their artistic and functional uses. After a brief theoretical introduction, you’ll learn to tie knots suited for creative projects like jewelry making, home décor, and gift wrapping. At the end of the workshop you will tale home 5-6 finished decorative knots.
No prior experience is needed, and the workshop is open to all.
